Financing
The implementation of "An Instrument for Every Child" will cost around 55,4 million euros until the 2010/2011 academic year.
The Federal Cultural Foundation has allocated a total of 10 million euros and the state of North Rhine-Westphalia has provided a total of 13,62 million euros to cover the cost of the programme until the 2010/2011 academic year. The GLS Treuhand Foundations for the Future have pledged another 0,63 million euros. The participation money amounts to a total of 12,5 million euros.
The participating municipalities will contribute approximately 3,2 million euros to finance 12,5 % of the teacher's salaries. Further the participating municipalities are responsible to raise donations at the rate of 50% of the instrument costs.
We still require another 1,22 million euros of sponsoring to finance the grant fund.
Now that the state of North-Rhine Westphalia has agreed to sponsor the program across the Ruhr district beyond 2010, the future of "An Instrument for Every Child" is secured in the long term.
